Garden transformation in Torquay

Set against the stunning Torbay coastline, this property was already something special. We were brought in by our friends at Gro Design to sort out remedial works to a failing retaining structure, which quickly evolved into a much larger garden transformation.

The brief was clear: create a high-end outdoor space to match the setting. We installed a steel post and sleeper retaining wall before refreshing the garden with sleeper steps and resin-bound inserts, a clean porcelain patio, and finished it off with dwarf walls and new lawns. The result is a space that feels considered, solid, and made to be enjoyed.

Galmpton

We undertook the development of new lodges, managing everything from earthworks and drainage to services installation and laying foundation slabs. Subsequently, we coordinated the completion of both hard and soft landscaping around the lodges. This multifaceted construction process spanned several years, progressing in stages. Additionally, we assumed the role of Principal Contractor throughout the project.

Salcombe

We’re currently engaged in the construction of a new riverside residence, which involves the creation of cliff retaining walls, installation of drainage systems, and the laying of a concrete raft foundation, integrated with a pile foundation for added stability. This project is ongoing, with an anticipated completion date in spring 2025.

Quay Hill

The construction project entailed the development of four new homes situated by the quayside in Exeter. Two of these homes were built around and extended from an existing chapel, while the other two were constructed on adjacent grounds. The scope of work included the construction of a substantial concrete retaining wall and slab foundation on a particularly constrained site. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the intricate build was successfully completed over a period of more than two years.

Imerys

For over seven years, we’ve been consistently undertaking diverse maintenance tasks at the Imerys site in Devon and Cornwall. Our responsibilities primarily revolve around reconstructing existing concrete slabs, performing crack injections to concrete tanks, executing drainage projects, and installing safety barriers. This longstanding partnership underscores our commitment to ensuring the integrity and functionality of the site’s infrastructure.

Hinkley Point C

As a Tier 2 contractor for Tci Ltd, we’ve been actively involved in multiple projects across various sites for Hinkley Point C (HPC). Our scope of work primarily focuses on the construction of parking areas, installation of safety barriers, and creation of walkways to facilitate safe movement within the premises. Additionally, we’ve executed projects such as upgrading bridleways, installing cycle racks, laying foundations for a battery charging shed, and setting up a brake tester, among other tasks. These diverse undertakings collectively contribute to the seamless construction and operation of the new power station at Hinkley Point C.

Ivybridge rugby club

Our team handled the sport pitch construction for the new 3G sports pitch at Ivybridge Rugby Club. This encompassed several key tasks, including excavating the existing grass pitch, grading it to proper falls, and installing both land and perimeter drainage systems. We also meticulously laid kerbing and a stone base layer to prepare the pitch foundation. In addition to these foundational elements, we installed floodlight bases and ducting to facilitate cabling, ensuring the pitch is fully equipped for optimal functionality and performance.

Heligan

We were responsible for the construction of mass-filled foundations and drainage systems for a two-story modular building. This involved the meticulous preparation and installation of foundations capable of supporting the weight of the modular structure. Additionally, we implemented comprehensive drainage solutions to manage water runoff effectively, ensuring the stability and longevity of the building’s infrastructure.

Riviera Bay

Over a period of three years, we executed the comprehensive demolition and reconstruction of Riviera Bay Holiday Park in Brixham, transforming it from traditional Hi-De-Hi chalets to contemporary high-end lodges. The project entailed multiple phases, beginning with the excavation and regrading of the site to accommodate the new structures. We constructed concrete bases and installed essential services to ensure the functionality of the lodges. Finally, we completed the project by constructing access roads, footpaths, and undertaking both hard and soft landscaping to enhance the aesthetics and usability of the holiday park.

Splashdown

The expansion of Splashdown Water Park in Goodrington has been a significant year-long endeavor. The project encompassed several key components, including the construction of three substantial concrete water tanks, the installation of a concrete base for a new 1200m2 water park, and the creation of approximately 1500m2 of paved seating and lounging areas, as well as roadways and footpaths. We are proud to have played a role in this project and eagerly anticipate its grand opening in May.

Shaldon

In early 2023, we undertook a significant landscaping and groundworks project at a private residence in Shaldon, Devon. What started as a neglected, overgrown garden, resembling a jungle, was transformed into a stunning, functional outdoor space.

Caterfood Paignton

Caterfoods, a trusted supplier of frozen foods across Devon needed a new drive-in picking freezer, after their previous unit suffered from frost damage that caused the concrete floor to crack and lift. We were appointed as the principal contractor, managing the entire project from start to finish and coordinating multiple subcontractors to ensure every stage of the work was completed safely and to the highest standard.
